Serbia eInvoice SAP solution Melasoft
Intro:
Here at Melasoft we are well versed to the change of legislation that ultimately effects your business, for instance, the Serbian government requiring companies to abide by certain criteria in order to fulfil the structure and format of an invoice. The new law regulates: issuance, sending, receiving, processing, storage, content and elements of electronic invoices. Also other issues related to electronic invoices in transactions between public sector and private sector businesses including the Government themselves.
Timeline / Obligations:
As seen above all businesses operating in Serbia will be required to meet the timelines to send eInvoices: Government to Government (G2G) / Business to Government (B2G) by 1st May 2022, Government to Business (G2B) by 1st July 2022 and finally Business to Business (B2B) by 1st January 2023.
You may believe that timelines are manageable but from our experience consulting within this area we find customers often find delays that are out of their control. For instance your access to the Government portal SEF (Sistem E-Faktura). Thus, turning a 10 working day project in to 1 or 2 months project or even longer!
Penalties:
The consequence of not abiding by the timelines by the government carry violations and penalties in the range of 200,000 dinar (around 1,700 EUR) to 2,000,000 dinar (around 17,000 EUR) for private persons, legal entities or public companies.
It does not stop there… additionally a fine for the person who is deemed responsible for the violation which is believed to be in the range of 50,000 dinar (around 420 EUR) to 150,000 dinar (around 1,270 EUR).
